There is a lovely Garden Exhibition twice a year at the Schloss Fasanerie in Eichenzell - once in early summer, and once at Christmas. My Mom and I try to go every year. The Gartenfest is a beautiful riot of plants, arts and crafts, every and anything you could possibly covet for your garden -- plus good food. There is a florist competition, there are various talks about garden themes, and art installations. This year's theme was "roses". And roses there were, lots and lots of them. We had a wonderful day, and we shall be back for the Christmas edition in half a year.
